Dr. Fadi Najem is considered among the pioneers in the field of audiology in Jordan and in the Middle East. He is a certified clinical audiologist, a trainer, and an educator. Dr. Najem graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology, and he holds two doctoral degrees: Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from Missouri State University, and Doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Kansas. He is licensed by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA / CCC-A), and licensed by the Canadian Speech-language and audiology associationan (SAC/AUD-C). Dr. Najem has an extensive and long clinical experience especially with patients using hearing aids and cochlear implants. He worked over the years with a wide variety of pediatric and adult patients suffering from hearing loss. Dr. Najem is the founder of AVICO, and he is very proud of the accomplishments and the growth of all AVICO departments. Dr. Najem’s mission is to help in facilitating, developing, and improving the clinical services provided to patients suffering from hearing loss, especially in the 3rd world countries. AVICO embodies Dr. Najem’s vision, and he believes that AVICO will grow beyond his dreams to fulfill his mission in a marvelous way! Dr. Najem’s research interests are in the areas of investigating the hearing physiology in general and the efferent system physiology in particular, mainly using auditory electrophysiological measurements including early (i.e. ECochG, ABR, ASSR), and late (i.e. MMN and P300) evoked potentials, with special focus on the clinical applications of these tools.
